Burglars hit Deighton Griffith

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a burglary which occurred early this morning at the Deighton Griffith Secondary School.

Public relations officer Inspector Roland Cobbler said police received a report that the school was being burglarised around 1 a.m.

When the officers arrived they encountered three men on the premises.

The men ran but two were captured.

Two men, ages 17 and 22 are now assisting police with their investigations.

The incident occurred in the area of the canteen and since no meals could be prepared, the school was closed early. (PR/NB)
