WEYMOUTH WALES consolidated their position at the top of the table with a 5-0 thumping of Ellerton, when the Digicel Premier League continued at the National Stadium on Sunday.
An Arantees Lawrence brace, plus strikes from Tristan Parris, Jabar Green and Hadan Holligan gave Wales their fourth win of the season.
In the opening game, Belfield conceded two goals in the final ten minutes to suffer a painful 2-0 loss at the hands of the Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP).
Goals from Shaquille Boyce and Rashad Smith in the 81st and 85th minutes respectively, were enough to seal all three points for the BDFSP outfit despite Belfield competing for long stretches of the match. (ML)
