CHARLES LYNCH believes cycling can get turned around quickly.
The newly elected Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) president doesn’t think the sport has been set back too far, saying his administration can survive the aftermath of two years of controversy.
“Yes, cycling has been set back, but we have the backing of all the cyclists in Barbados right now, so I believe we can get the sport up and running fairly shortly because it’s not like the entire council are greenhorns to cycling,” reasoned Lynch.
“We’ve all been on executives before; it’s just that we were in the background but now we’re to the forefront so you’ll see what we can do. Unfortunately, our association, instead of being run in a democratic process, was run in an unorthodox process.” (JM)
