ST JAMES CENTRAL MP Kerrie Symmonds has joined those lauding 13-year-old Khaleel Kothdiwala for his presentation at the Step Up If Yuh Fed Up march.

“When we have a situation of a young man at 13 or 14, accompanied by his parents, irrespective of his political views or the posture he adopts in terms of philosophy, is able to eloquently articulate that position for the first time before thousands of people gathered around him, it speaks well for the product of young people in Barbados and for the education system in this country,” Symmonds told the House of Assembly during yesterday’s Estimates Debate.

He also reminded colleagues of a 13-year-old from another generation and a past leader, who told him about collecting bottles at the George Street Auditorium “and share of his own political views”, and that the youngster was aided and abetted by Errol Barrow. (YB)
