MIGUEL CUMMINS PULLED the choke for Barbados Pride yesterday.
With two-time defending champions Guyana Jaguars frustrating the hosts on the third day of their seventh-round Digicel Regional 4-Day match at Kensington Oval, the 26-year-old fast bowler sent down a decisive spell on the way to a five-wicket haul.
Cummins broke a century sixth-wicket partnership between Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Anthony Bramble and proceeded to run through the remainder of the batting as the last five wickets fell for 11 runs.
Cummins finished with five for 41 from 18.2 overs and Barbados Pride took a first innings lead of 230 after dismissing Guyana Jaguars for 250 in response to 480 for three declared.
After today’s rest day to accommodate the Twenty20 International between West Indies and Pakistan, the visitors will resume their second innings tomorrow on 119 for three. (Picture by Kenmore Bynoe.)
