CARLOS BRATHWAITE isn’t quite sure what has gone wrong with West Indies since their sensational capture of the ICC World Twenty20 a year ago.
The captain, however, knows what they need to do to turn things around when they meet Pakistan in the first of four Twenty20 Internationals at Kensington Oval today.
“The key is to start well, getting aggressive, getting the home crowd behind us, bringing that high energy that you associate with West Indies cricket, that flavour, Caribbean flair, style. That is us,” Brathwaite told reporters during a training session at the Oval yesterday.
“As long as we represent that brand, show that brand and bring it to Kensington, I am sure the fans will be out in full effect supporting us. Once we can get the crowd behind us, that is the first part of executing a game plan for 40 overs.”
