Churches stoned

A ROCK-THROWING VANDAL has targeted the rural community of Shop Hill, St Thomas, damaging windows at four churches, each a stone’s throw away from the other.

The damage, which was suspected to have been done in the wee hours of yesterday, led Elder Frederick Mose of the Bethel House of Prayer and Worship to say: “The enemy has taken a position where it has no respect for the church or the people of God. That has gone through the door.”

Mose, who said everybody was looking for the church to fix the problems in society, warned that it had to start with the homes.

Stressing that he was not surprised by the turn of events, the elder said it was also indicative of what Barbados had become. (LK)
