BRITTONS HILL MANAGED to salvage a late point when a relegation scrap against Home Improvement Waterford Compton ended in a 2-2 draw in the Digicel Premier League at the Wildey AstroTurf on Saturday night.
Compton, who would have come within two points of their eighth-placed rivals with a win, saw a first-half brace from Shakiyl Cox cancelled out by strikes from the in-form Marmarlaque Herod and Zikigah Samuel.
Third-placed Rendezvous lost ground on the leaders after being held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions UWI Blackbirds. Dario “Ears” Harewood added another goal to his hot streak, getting the champions off the mark in the 41st minute but Dwayne “Squilacci” Stanford was on hand to pull one back for Rendezvous in the 63rd minute to gain a credible point in the end.
Earlier, Notre Dame followed their impressive win against Wales with another assured performance, downing Paradise 2-1.
