Beach Culture offers mix

THIS YEAR’S Beach Culture World Tour and Waterman Festival isn’t only about getting wet.

Along with some of the best surfers from around the world riding the island’s waves, beach cricket and carnival have been added to the mix.

During a press conference at De Action Shop, Silver Sands, yesterday, Brian Talma revealed that the beach cricket competition was scheduled to begin on Sunday at Sandy Beach.

“The Beach culture world tour cricket is on Sandy Beach at 10 a.m. and we have persons from Silver Sands, Enterprise and Dover. We have two-time Olympian O’Neal Marshall and the concept is to take this micro-concept of organic tourism though Brian Talma as an entity and take it down there by Sandy Beach and get the kids in the community involved,” he said.
