A 15-YEAR-OLD SCHOOLGIRL has been charged in connection with last week’s savage beating of a schoolmate, and other students are expected to face similar charges.

Police last night revealed that the teenager will go to court on Thursday charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the matter, which had been viewed with sickening reaction on Facebook and other social media platforms from last Thursday.

Thousands of viewers watched the cellphone recording in horror as the trapped student attempted to flee her attackers before she was brought down. While on the ground, she was kicked and punched about her head and body.

The 15-year-old victim remains absent from Lester Vaughan School and under doctor’s orders to return the first week of June, after her scheduled May 29 start to promotional exams. (AC/AD)
