IT WAS AN excitement-filled Whit Monday as the finals of the Banks International Masters Football Festival came to a nerve-racking climax for all involved.
The large crowd on hand was treated to two close games, which both ended in penalty shootouts.
Brooklyn Central eventually overcame X-Men 4-3 on penalties in the Over-50s final after the scores had been locked at 1-1 after full time.
Meanwhile, in the showpiece Over-40s final, Vincy Masters held their nerve to get the better of Wildey United as they triumphed 4-2 following their shootout, after their match had played out to a stalemate in normal time. (ML)
