Athletes chasing glory tonight

THE BATTLE to determine the fastest Barbadian man and the best quarter-milers and 400-metre hurdlers will begin at the National Stadium tonight.

Only the preliminaries of the men’s 400-metre hurdles, the 400 metres and men’s 100 metres will be contested when this year’s National Senior Athletics Championships begin at 6 p.m. with a 90-minute programme.

The championships will provide Barbados’ finest athletes with a golden opportunity to qualify for the World Championships in London from August 4-13.

It will also be the final qualifier for the Pan American Junior Games in Peru, July 21-23. (EZS)
