Boycott threat

The big names could be missing from the Barbados Public Workers’ Credit Union’s Monarchs of the Court after several top road tennis players, including Julian “Michael Jackson” White and Kim Holder threatened to boycott unless they receive outstanding prize monies.

Holder and White, along with fellow title contenders Darius Gaskin, Dario Hinds and Marson Johnson, all made the guarantee while still waiting to get paid by the Professional Road Tennis Association (PRTA) for April’s Clash of the Titans competition. dale-clarke 

“It’s been three months now since the end of the tournament and I still can’t get paid or hear anything from [PRTA president] Dale Clarke (right) but I can hear a lot of rumours from one person and the next about how we will get our money,” explained White. (JM)
