Murder accused Shanley Vergusson Stoute, 47, alias “Stoute Man”, of Parish Land, Christ Church, has been remanded to HMP Dodds until September 14.

Stoute, who was the subject of a wanted bulletin, is accused of the murder of Closton Robinson, 34, also of Parish Land. Robinson died after receiving a gunshot to the face during the wee hours July 28, while outside a karaoke bar.

According to reports, Robinson, who was about to celebrate his birthday, had been the peace-maker in a fight between two men, one of whom returned to the bar and fired upon him.

Yesterday Stoute appeared before Magistrate Laurie-Anne Smith-Bovell in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plea to the indictable charge. (RB)
