AS I BROWSED THROUGH my WEEKEND NATION of Friday, June 20, I had cause to pause and smile.
For sometime now I have thought to comment on the predictable content of the Reflections column by Reudon Eversley a column which I no longer read because I know exactly what I am going to get: the straight party propaganda line of the Democratic Labour Party with hardly a curve in sight.
For a while I even thought of writing to suggest to THE NATION's editors that Reflections should be relocated to the page with Douglas Leopold Phillips, Beresford Leon Padmore and the PEP Column, the view of the People's Empowerment Party. It certainly seemed a better fit there.
But on Friday, June 20, I noticed that Douglas Leopold Phillips was missing from page 12 and I smiled. Finally it has found its new place perhaps assimilated and repackaged into Reflections.
While the party stripe of various other contributions may be clear, none in my opinion are as boringly predictable in flavour as Reflections, save, of course, for the usual occupants of page 12.
