Not a good example for children

Published on: 7/4/08.

SOCA QUEEN Alison Hinds was greeted with the most deafening cheer of the day [according to the news item]. By whom? Four- to 11-year-old schoolchildren.

Already this confirms what effect our soca "wuk-up" culture has had on these young impressionable minds. But now, they are given a personal visit by the Roll It queen herself, who tells them to follow their dreams (whatever that means!) and resist peer pressure, really!

What a conflicting set of messages is being sent to these children!

The "queen" then leads them into "a spirited rendition of her 2005 hit Roll".

What an example to follow!
