Nettleford funeral next Tuesday

THE FUNERAL for the late Professor Rex Nettleford has been scheduled for next week Tuesday.
A source at the University of the West Indies (UWI) yesterday told The Gleaner the official announcement would be made at a press conference this afternoon.
Nettleford is expected to receive an official funeral, with the Government already indicating it is involved in the planning.
The UWI vice-chancellor emeritus died last Tuesday at the George Washington University Hospital in the United States.
Nettleford, who passed away four hours shy of his 77th birthday, was being treated for catastrophic brain injury after suffering heart attack at his hotel on January 27.
He had been on life support since collapsing in his hotel room. (Jamaica Gleaner)
