NO STONE has been left unturned this time. Bodybuilding fans can look out for a rebranded William Prescott at the Preconco Limited National Championships slated for Saturday at the Plantation Garden Theatre, St Lawrence, Christ Church.

Prescott, second best at last year's Nationals and again at the inaugural Darcy Beckles Invitational Classic to Hoskins Worrell, is reportedly in top shape and gunning for his fourth Mr Barbados title.

International Federation of Body Building (IFBB) pro Jerry Nicholls has been supervising Prescott's preparation at Oceans 2 Gym for the past few weeks and is very confident he will blow away the opposition this weekend.

"Prescott has put in the work. He is going to be different. The finishing touches have been lacking in the past and that is where I come in.

"My role is to fine-tune and he will definitely be sharp on Saturday night.

"Fans have been waiting for a while to see William Prescott turn up at his best and I think he will be this time. He is going to be the man to beat. This will be a different Prescott with a complete package, new and improved."

Nicholls, winner of Mr Barbados in 2000 and 2005, told the DAILY NATION that Prescott had paid stricter attention to his dieting.

"It's a whole set of things he has done differently. Prescott has made his dieting phase a lot longer to strip away any body fat that was there and it has just been up to me to get him crisp and dry by contest date. I am just the finisher.

"I think it is about time that Prescott moves on to dominate the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Championships. Mr Barbados should just be a walk in the park. He has the potential, he has the goods, it is just a matter of bringing it on the day," Nicholls said.

Prescott, 46, is certain to capture the heavyweight class and that should set up what should be an enthralling posedown with the dynamic Worrell and a returning Martinus Durrant for the overall title as both of them are expected to win their respective divisions.

Durrant, Mr Barbados 2007, took all of last season off and much is expected of him. He will lineup in the light heavyweight class for Superior Fitness Gym where his stiffest challenge should come from clubmate Ricardo "Cou Cou" Bascombe and last year's Mr Bridgetown champ Gareth Norris.

In the juniors, Ramon Broomes and Damien Harewood are the favourites, but they should keep their eyes on reigning Mr Teenager Dario Bryan.

In women's fitness the rivalry between Renee Cobham and Nicole Carter will be renewed, but Miss Bridgetown 2009 Nikita Robinson as well as Antoinette Downie and Merlene Headley will complete a strong field.

The competitors to watch in the Senior Body Fitness include CAC athletes Ramona Morgan, Sebollena Ifill and Carla Nicholls as they battle Miss Bridgetown Jamilia Sokunbi. The top Junior Body Fitness girls including Rashida Belgrave, Jenna Johnson and Kelly Ann Skeete will also be there.

Sonia Hunte will fly the female bodybuilding flag and Christopher Lee will introduce men's fitness.

The weigh-in is this evening at the National Sports Council, My Lord's Hill, starting at 6 p.m.
