Supreme Court staff
back on the job
STAFF in the Barbados Supreme Court Complex were back on the job Monday.
Last Friday, some members of staff in the Registration Department, the Law Library and the Court Process Office staged a work stoppage protesting unsanitary conditions on three floors.
Urine was leaking through the roof of one floor, while they was faeces floating on another.
On Monday, while staff still complained of a smell in certain parts of the building, they were back at their work stations.
Once again, attempts to get a comment from Registrar Marva Clarke proved unsuccessful as her secretary said she was not in the office. (HLE)
