Recently, during the Caribbean T20 finals weekend at the Mecca, Kensington Oval, a 12th man went on the field named Streaker.
After a short stay at the wicket, just like de Babbajan batsmen, two balls later he was out! Streaker ended up being charged and appeared before de law courts, not for lack of strokeplay but for exposing his wicket!
De Vendor want to clarify that in de opinion of some professional women at a certain gym in Wildey (no name, nuh lockup, but a large gym!)
Mr Streaker’s bat was above regulation size!
Since de Vendor’s experience in dese matters is limited, I defer to dese professional women though de thought did cross my mind to ask what dem measuring it against! One lady say she could see it, whatever it was, clearly from the 3Ws pavilion.
In she opinion, iffing she could see he willow from dat distance then Streaker was well equipped to bat! I would like to be a fly pun de wall when dem explaining to duh husbands how dem assess Streaker’s endowment!
But while Streaker was on de field and being charged and evicted, two gorgeous Trini lasses were in de party stand riding de bull, posing wid de fans and ah hear it all over Facebook!
What is de point ah mekking?
De two Trini lasses had on body paint only from de waist up and everbody was cool wid dat! Well,
hot might be de more appropriate term! Dem didn’t get charge fuh indecent exposure though a friend of mine who claim he was keeping abreast of de situation tell me there were only two things he wanted to point out and then didn’t!
So how come everybody celebrating de Trini lasses in body paint but Baje get charge! Even Machel know that yuh could get charge fuh wining like dat! Double standards! Did de Trini lasses enter de gates in de body paint only?
I may be milking dis story a bit but I need to get to de top and de bottom of the issue! Ah hear dat when dem did riding de bull de body paint did wearing off, leaving only body, in other words, dem was streaking too!
Next thing, how come it is alright fuh Bajan men who clearly suffering from weak bladders to pee in public places but iffing a woman squat in an alley in Swan Street all hell would break loose? How come we don’t feel righteous and indignant when hardback men expose duh member in public but if a woman was to do it a crowd would gather?
Why in the missionary position de man must be on top? If de man on top it is the missionary but if it is de woman it is something else? Double standards!
Fuh ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007, we had immigration moving people fast and furious throughout de region but as soon as it done we gone back to mekking poor people suffer.
Imagine leffing Puerto Rico to go to St Vincent via Antigua, Bubbadus and you go through security in San Juan, arrive in Antigua, in transit, so you not getting expose to de general public but yuh got to tek off de belt, de shoes, pelt away de water, open de computer, tek off de watch, empty de pockets and den go through de same thing in Bubbadus even though yuh only intransit and staying in de secure non-contaminated area?
Dat mek sense to wunnah? How come we could get it right fuh de World Cup but frustrate Caribbean people everyday! Double standards again!
