STAFF NURSES and nursing assistants at the Psychiatric Hospital are currently on strike.

They are complaining about a number of grievances including unfair treatment by management, supersession, not getting overtime pay and deplorable conditions.

The workers are being represented by the Unity Trade Union headed by Caswell Franklyn who is currently in a meeting with the hospital’s acting director David Leacock. (TS)
