Ticket appeal

The Barmy Army may be coming back to Barbados with thousands of British cricket fans next January for the Test match between West Indies and England.

But Bajans will still be able to go through the turnstiles as hundreds of tickets are being specially blocked off for local spectators.

President of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Conde Riley, who is also a Cricket West Indies (CWI) director, gave that assurance yesterday in an interview with the Sunday Sun.

“It was discussed at our last meeting and I spoke to the [CWI] CEO Johnny Grave. We are going to block areas in every stand at Kensington to ensure that we have a local presence at all the games. That’s a conscious thing that we have spoken about and it will be done,” Riley said. (EZS)
