SOCIAL SCENE: Harmony reunited

It is 26 years since Leo Murphy and Andrew Murphy were home in Barbados enjoying a good jam session with friends.

That is why just under 100 followers of their former band Harmony recently enjoyed a fantastic night of music with them and their German guest musicians at De Palin on Tweedside Road, thanks to Maggie Browne and Nan Sawh, who made it happen.

Harmony had a popular gig at Welcome Inn Hotel back in the day and when the group migrated to Germany close to four decades ago, the band changed its name to Caribbean Rhapsody, which has since disbanded.

Coming back home and playing for former fans was euphoric for the Murphys. They are already planning a Barbados party for next October. (GC)
