YOUTH FOOTBALL will be placed on the front burner, says Barbados Football Association (BFA) president Randy Harris.
“Youth football is in a real happy state. We are fortunate because we have a partner in the Brewster’s Trust, which has the resources and the knowledge of development because it has the personnel who have worked in Europe and who know exactly what to do to develop young players,” Harris told NATIONSPORT in a wide-ranging interview.
“We are going to work very closely with them in order to develop our young players to professional standards. That is one aspect of it. We are also lucky that Harlequin Hotels is now organizing for a Liverpool Under-20 team to be here next year,” added Harris.
The first-time BFA boss said the Kenville Layne-coached national Under-17 team were also in next April’s CONCACAF final round of the Youth World Cup.
