“LOVE SEES NOT with the eyes but with the mind”, Shakespeare wrote over 400 years ago.

But those could be the words used to describe the wedding of Mark Stoute and Hyacinth Stoute (née Hurdle).

Today, the two visually impaired lovers exchanged vows at the home of the Barbados Association for the Blind and Deaf, St Paul’s Avenue, Bayville, St Michael, where they first fell in love.

This was the first wedding at the centre in over 40 years and it attracted about 100 people, including musicians Anthony Mighty Gabby Carter and Stoute’s brother Richard.
