Sir Roy: An insult

Strike action could hit telecommunications company LIME early next week.
Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) general secretary Sir Roy Trotman yesterday served notice of the possible action after the company turned up at talks this week with no new pay proposals.
Describing the company’s actions as a “gross insult”, Sir Roy said the union now wants the company’s bosses to come to the negotiating table next Monday with a much sweeter deal or face industrial action.
He will meet with workers this morning at 8:30 at Solidarity House to update them on the union’s position.
