David Mullins, 41; Ralston Dawson, 18; Rodney Odle, 27, and Ronald Yarde are expected to appear in the Bridgetown Magistrates' Court today to answer the charges.
Mullins, Dawson and Yarde were accused of committing criminal damage while Odle was charged with assaulting a warder occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mullins is serving a 15-year jail term for his part in the armed robbery of two ZR drivers 11 years ago, while Odle received a total of 21 years last year for a string of robberies and gun possession.
At the 1997 January Assizes, Yarde was given 20 years, including a 15-year term, for shooting a police officer, while Dawson got 18 months last March for having an illegal firearm.
Sources told the DAILY NATION the ongoing investigations into the prison fire and distrubance could result in other inmates being charged later this week.
Just last Thursday Mikail Archer was arrested and charged with setting Glendairy afire.
