BACKBENCHER and former Minister of Public Works and Transport Rommell Marshall
is keeping mum on Government's decision not to hire him.
When contacted yesterday he said he had "absolutely no comment to make".
Minister of Public Works Gline Clarke also said: "No comment."
It was in the SUNDAY SUN that Clarke said Government had agreed Marshall could "come back to the Public Works and be an advisor to the minister on certain road projects".
But on Wednesday, in a brief statement Clarke issued, it was noted that "no engagement had taken place with Mr Marshall and it has now been decided not to proceed with the proposed arrangement".
The statement also noted that "the decision not to proceed has been fully discussed with the Minister of the Civil Service".
Prime Minister Owen Arthur holds that portfolio.
Marshall had said he was on the job since October 15.
