ELSA-RUTH ARTHUR always wanted to go to Queen's College.

So much so she has opted to go there rather than Harrison College. The Husbands, St James based institution was first on her list due to the fact she has so many friends there.

"There was a lot of studying to do but I have always been passionate about going to QC so I was not distracted," said this student who was among the top ten in the Common Entrance Examination.

Of course, her television breaking down did not hurt either.

Her father Lindsay Arthur was a little sorry she did not want to go to his alma mater, Combermere, but was happy for his daughter's success. "I expected her to do really well but I would have been happy even if she had not gotten into the top ten," he said.
