This stems from the problems they have been experiencing as a result of the strong odour emanating from the Bridgetown Sewage Treatment Plant periodically for several months.
Attorney for the residents, Robert "Bobby" Clarke said he wrote Attorney-General Mia Mottley on the matter and last week he received a letter from the Solicitor General, acknowledging receipt of his letter. The writ is expected to name the BWA, the Ministries of Health and Environment, Public Works and the Attorney-General
as defendants
"These [residents] want to be paid. They have had some serious problems with their children," said Clarke.
Clarke said he had only one question after being informed by residents that Prime Minister Owen Arthur visited the area yesterday: "How come it takes all these years for Owen Arthur to go down there [to] see what happens in Emmerton?"
