POLICE are investigating the death of a 57-year-old fisherman, whose body was discovered in the garage of his girlfriend's home yesterday morning.

Beverly Yarde, of Lower Carters Gap, Christ Church, opened her living room window yesterday morning around 7 a.m. and saw her boyfriend Stephenson Kinch slumped under the window with a wound at the back of his head. Upon investigating, she realised that he was dead.

When a NATION team caught up with the distraught woman at Oistins Police Station, she opted not to talk, saying she had been advised by the police not to speak to the media.

However, one of her relatives explained that she was in shock when she discovered the body.

The relative said Kinch, who lived at Bournes Land, Christ Church, went out to sea to fish two weeks ago and returned on Friday morning.

Police do not suspect foul play and are looking into the possibility that Kinch might have fallen and cracked his skull.
