Bradshaw elated with ICC ranking

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia West Indies left-arm seamer Ian Bradshaw is elated after moving into fifth place in the International Cricket Council's One-Day International (ODI) bowlers' rankings.
In the new rankings released on Wednesday, Bradshaw was ranked behind South African Shaun Pollock, Kiwis Shane Bond and Daniel Vettori, and Australian Glenn McGrath.
"I think it is unreal that someone who is not a full time cricketer could get there," Bradshaw said from the West Indies team's hotel.
"I find it is unbelievable that I can even be listed among those names in the Top Ten. It was a fascination of mine to see myself go up, when I was ranked at 30-something that was fascinating. It has been something that fascinated me since I started playing."
Bradshaw made his debut for the West Indies late, playing his first ODI against England two years ago at age 30.
Now 32, Bradshaw has been a mainstay of the West Indies bowling attack and has played 46 matches to date.
He said while he was not too keen on rankings, he used it as a motivation.
"It is something that helps to motivate me to see how far I could possibly reach but I am not a person who reads too much into the rankings. It is more of a fascination to me," he admitted.
"I would use this as continued motivation to keep improving. On a personal note, I am just trying to maintain the performances that I have maintained so far."
Bradshaw has been part of the West Indies team that have qualified for the DLF Cup final in Malaysia. (CMC)
