Two Canadians, Thomas James and Dr Pammla Petrucka, of Saskatchewan, Canada, who have a long-standing relationship with the QEH, donated the supplies in the third in a series of shipments.
The current shipment included four 40-foot containers with $400 000 in cargo.
A QEH release stated that James and Petrucka had supplied the hospital with a collection of hospital beds, EEG and EKG machines, incubators, opthamology equipment and other essential supplies for the past year.
James, of Apogia Network Ltd., and Petrucka, of the University of Saskatchewan, were involved in a number of initiatives to enhance economic, social and community capacity in various countries.
