Scotia helps Wilkie pupils
Published on: 10/7/07.
THE NEEDY CHILDREN at Wilkie Cumberbatch have a guardian angel in the form of Scotiabank.
The company, in partnership with R L Mark, recently donated schoolbags, school supplies and a copier, to the school and its students.
Manager of the Wildey branch, Ian Broome, said they had adopted the school a few years ago and had been helping out ever since. He said they were also assisting with the refurbishing of the school's canteen.
Principal of the school, Glendine Thompson, said each class form teacher would submit a list of needy students. In addition, she said some parents had also made their needs clear. (CA)
