Combermere, BCC win

Combermere and the Barbados Community College (BCC) were comfortable winners on Monday in the United Insurance Schools' Basketball Premier League.
BCC had a big 75-42 win over Harrison College after leading 40-14 at half-time, while Combermere used home court advantage wisely in a 68-48 win over The Lodge School. They led 33-23 at the half. The other game between Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and Queen's College at the Pine was rained out.
For BCC, three players reached double figures. Ramon Byer (16), Andre Holder (14) and Daniel Lovell (12) had the "hot hands", while Ramon Blackman, with 11, was the best for Harrison College.
For Combermere, Stephen Blackett scored 19 points. Kregg Jones 15, and there were ten each from Marlon Bascombe and Mario Vanterpool. For The Lodge Kevin Mason had a game-high 22, and Michael Gamble ten. (PS)
