Look out 'it's doom this year!'

THERE WILL be no Cricket World Cup 2007.
That's according to Greg Norville, who has added his voice to the many end-time prophecies being foretold about Barbados.
Norville a member of the House of Ephraim, a group which practises Messianic Judaism, said at least two hurricanes were expected to hit the island between "now and the end of the year".
The impact will be such, he says, that not even the newly-refurbished Kensington Oval will be able to withstand it and "thousands upon thousands" of Barbadians will perish as a result.
Norville, like Rawle Simpson who packed his bags and left the island back in 1997 after prophesying that a tidal wave was going to hit Barbados that year, is planning to flee the island before disaster strikes.
But before he leaves, he wanted to warn Barbadians of the impending destruction.
"The Lord said: 'The angels of the City of Bridgetown have come before me and the stench of the city has been brought before me by them.' I'm saying to you, prophetically, that Bridgetown is going to come under heavy flooding; water will come up all through the Careenage and it will be greatly underwater," shared Norville, who said he had a prophetic anointing on his life.
He said God was not pleased with the prevailing "party spirit" and homosexuality that had gripped the country, therefore He was planning to carry out a "cleansing".
In addition, Norville prophesied that a "strong wind" would come from the north of the island destroying everything in its path. The West Coast and Oistins would be completely destroyed by waves as high as 25 feet, he said.
"God is saying away with that, no more answering of any prayers. You can pray till the cows come home . . . . He will bring this thing to pass," he said, quoting Jeremiah 7 where God refused to withdraw his anger from the people of Israel.
"When Tom Deckard, a Messianic Jew from Israel, came and told Barbadians that the Lord said he would bring calamity on the island and they should pray and fast for three days, nobody heard him."
However, he said, because God was a compassionate and loving God, He could be moved if people truly beseeched Him.
Norville said Barbados was spared the destruction of natural disasters in the past because our forefathers "used to pray and beseech God". However, he said that "cover" no longer existed and therefore God's protection had been removed.
Prior to his conversion, Norville was involved in spiritualism and the occult. However, according to him, God delivered him from that life through "revelation and visions".
"He speaks to me every once in a while revealing things to me," he said.
