BOSCOBEL LIBRARY OPEN

STUDENTS OF the Boscobel Primary School have been urged to make use of the library resources in order to progress in their academic achievements and development.
The advice came from education officer, David Clement while delivering the feature address at the school's library opening ceremony in Boscobel, St Peter, on Tuesday.
"A library is far more than a building or room for where books are kept. If a library is to be of any good to you, you must interact with it. Take the books, read from them and learn from them; pick morals that you can use. Get in the habit of making time to go to the library," Clement told the children.
A former teacher with more than 32 years experience, Clement said that literacy was central to education, and reading enhanced skills.
Joint co-ordinator of the project, Irvone Brathwaite said work on the library began in 2006 and was built by old scholars through funds raised by parents.
