Hundreds snap up cruise offers

HUNDREDS OF Barbadians will be cruising the Caribbean
at low cost thanks to
the Cricket World Cup.
They will be travelling on the Carnival Destiny between April 30
and May 4 from Barbados to Antigua, St Maarten,
St Lucia before returning here, for as low as
$465 a person.
The normal rate for
that class of passenger
is about $1 500.
The cruise has been made possible because the ship, which has been chartered by the Barbados Tourism Authority to supplement hotel accommodation for fans coming for the Super 8 matches and the final here on April 28, would have completed its contract. At the end of the cruise the ship will return to its Puerto Rico base.
Martin Ince, chief executive officer of Foster & Ince Cruiseworld, told the Midweek Nation hundreds swooped on his company's three offices yesterday to take advantage of the offer advertised in the Press Monday.
"The response to this very special cruise was fantastic. The ship has
1 321 cabins and we sold many hundreds," said Ince. (PS)
