FABIAN CAMPBELL, 24, of Brathwaite Road, Sion Hill, St James, is the island's latest road fatality.
He died on the spot after his car crashed on the stretch of highway along Black Bess, St Peter on Friday night.
His three-year-old son Shem who was also in the car was treated and discharged from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
It was at about 9:45 p.m. when someone went to the house and informed the family of the accident. His mother Moreen said he was on his way home after dropping off a friend in Indian Ground, St Peter.
She remembers him as fun-loving, a dedicated father, a tower of strength.
"He was the person who would go all out to help; he may not do it the same day, but he would do it.
"He was there for days when I thought I was at the end. he would say 'Mum don't give up; tomorrow is another day'."
Campbell was a forklift driver for Williams Tools and Equipment Rentals, and a former student of Leacock's Private School and St Lucy Secondary School.
He also is survived by his father Chrispin Hunte.
Police reports indicate a call was placed at the Emergency Line about 10:30 p.m. Investigations are continuing. (KB)
