THE Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTI) has a new chairman and a larger mandate.

Managing Director of FirstCaribbean International Bank, Oliver Jordan, has been named chairman and Shawn Franklyn his deputy.

Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy, said over the weekend Government was moving to consolidate and streamline the operations of three state-owned tourism organisations, given that they all had the same task of undertaking investments in tourism.

The BTI will take over the work of Needham's Point Development Incorporated and Needham's Point Holdings Limited. (DS)
