SAGICOR SPORTS CLUB had an easy victory over Church Village in the 2007 Cable & Wireless Netball League matches held at the Netball Stadium on Monday.

Playing in the Linda Paul Intermediate 5, Sagicor beat Church Village 24-14. Sheldene Clarke scored 16 goals from 24 attempts and goal-attack Debbie Nicholls eight from 15. For Church Village, Juanita Nurse converted 11 of her 22 attempts and Monette Wharton three from nine.

In the same division, CO Williams Rangers also strolled to an easy 29-15 victory over Structural Systems Silver Raiders. Goal-attack Tyna King had the hot hands with 17 goals from 21 attempts and shooter Tonya Cadogan 12 from 16.

Despite more accurate shooting from Pine Hill St Barnabas, they emerged on the losing end of an exciting 29-28 game between Brydens V8 Splash in the Intermediate 4.

Sonia Banfield missed only four of her 26 attempts and Margaret Cutting three of nine, but Deborah Brathwaite (19 from 25) and Tricia Briggs (10/13) celebrated the victory for Brydens.

Tonight will feature the exciting Division 1 7:15 p.m. match-up between the unbeaten Silver Raiders and St Barnabas who have lost one game to date. Lower division matches start at 6 p.m.
