THE WAIT IS OVER!
Cricket World Cup 2007 tickets are here.
The Barbados Local Organising Committee yesterday announced that tickets were available for distribution to the over 3 900 people who applied for them through the first two phases of public ticketing.
However, to avoid congestion at the ticket centre, for the first week, starting on Monday through to Friday, there will be a phased approach to the distribution of the ticket packages.
People who applied for tickets to warm-up matches, first-round matches or follow-a-path packages, have immediate priority. They can go to the ticket centre at any time during opening hours to collect their tickets.
On Monday the ticket centre will begin distribution by alphabetical categories beginning with people whose surnames begin with letters A-E, then F-J on Tuesday, K-O on Wednesday, P-T on Thursday and U-Z on Friday.
People collecting their tickets must have some form of photo ID, their confirmation letter and receipt.
In order for someone to collect tickets on another's person's behalf, they must provide all of the following:
* An authorization letter from the original applicant;
* Date of birth of applicant;
* ID number submitted by applicant;
* Confirmation of application original receipt or print out of confirmation email.
* Confirmation of allocation - last letter or print out of email.
The ticket centre at Shop 16 Pelican Village will be opened for ticket collection and purchases Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. (PR)
