THE MAN charged with living off the profits of prostitution and aiding and abetting in the crime is expected to go on trial later this month.
When rally driver Geoffrey Arthur Ullyett appeared in court yesterday, Magistrate Ian Weekes informed him that his trial would start on December 28 in Holetown Magistrates' Court.
However, Ullyett, 37, a workshop manager of Content, St Thomas, will also appear in District "D" Magistrates' Court on Monday on a charge of living off the proceeds of prostitution between October 23 and December 4. On that matter he was granted $2 000 bail.
On the other charges, Ullyett was allowed to continue his $3 500 bail. One of those charges is that between October 23 and December 4 for the purpose of gain, he exerted control over the movement of Ukranians Anzhela Pantelo and Olha Shcherbakova in a way that showed he was aiding and abetting prostitution.
The other two charges are that between October 23 and December 4 he stole the United States passports of Pantelo and Shcherbakova and on November 3 he unlawfully assaulted Pantelo. Ullyett pleaded not guilty to all charges. (AC)
