THREE FORMER CHAMPIONS Combermere, Coleridge and Parry and Alexandra lead their respective zones ahead of today's final series of Cable & Wireless Under-15 matches at noon.
In Zone 'A' Combermere have an unassailable 35 points and have already booked a place in next week's semi-final. Coleridge and Parry head the pack in Zone 'B' with 22 points and have also secured a berth in the semis. St Peter-based Alexandra are out front on 33 points in Zone 'C'. First innings lead over the unpredictable Princess Margaret will see them through as the sole zone winners.
Alexandra are closely followed by Lester Vaughan (27) and Queen's College (25), who meet each other at Cane Garden, St Thomas. Both teams are still in with a chance but nothing but a victory will help their cause to top the zone. However, they could still be in a position to finish as the Best Second Placed Team.
The winners of each zone will advance to the semi-finals together with the second placed team which has the highest average points per match, i.e. the total number of points divided by the number of matches played. (Matches which have ended in no-decision will not be considered for this calculation.)
If two or more teams have the same average points per match, the team with the highest average of runs per wicket lost will be considered the higher placed team.
Standings ahead of the seventh and final series of matches.
Zone A: Combermere 35, Foundation 23, The St Michael 21, Harrison College 19, Alleyne 10, St Lucy 7, St George 2.
Zone B: Coleridge and Parry 22, St Leonard's 15, The Lodge 11, Deighton Griffith 11, Garrison 10, St James 3, Alma Parris 0.
Zone C: Alexandra 33, Lester Vaughan 27, Queen's College 25, Princess Margaret 15, Parkinson 14, Ellerslie 8, Grantley Adams 0.
