STARCOM's PEOPLE'S MONARCH CONTONE can now stay connected to his music all the time, thanks to Digicel.
On Friday the leading mobile communications company presented the monarch with a new Sony Ericsson W810 Walkman phone and free airtime at their Hastings office.
"Contone will be one of the first Barbadians to own the W810 as it was introduced to the local market last week and is exclusive to Digicel. This phone is perfect for him as it can store up to 125 songs, comes with a media player (video and MP3), FM radio, high-quality stereo headphones, and many more features to suit his musical tastes.
"We wanted to congratulate Contone on his achievements and we thought this was the perfect way to do it. This is the third year we have been a major sponsor of the People's Monarch and we are pleased to be involved with the event, which sees thousands of Barbadians using their Digicel phones to vote for their own monarch. Well done, Barbados. Well done, Contone," said Digicel's marketing executive Marquita Sugrim.
An excited Contone said: "I have been a Digicel customer from the start but
I lost my phone recently, so this comes at the perfect time.
"I have never won anything in my life, so all this winning a new car and now this phone it feels so good. Thank you very much." (PR)
