AN EXPERIENCED well digger was injured after accidentally falling into a 35-foot deep well yesterday.

Reports indicated that Oswald Thomas, 60, was clearing the area around the well in a cane field in Bannantyne, Christ Church, when he fell in.

Harvester operator with Searles Plantation, Patrick Williams, said they suddenly missed him so they went looking and heard him crying out for help.

Thomas, suffering from leg injuries, was rescued by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in an ambulance. (CA)
