A BIGGER JACKPOT and more ways to win.
That's what is coming to the Mega 6 lottery game from tomorrow.
Mega 6, one of the highly popular games run by The Barbados Lottery will from Sunday see its starting jackpot increased by $25 000 to $375 000 and, for the first time, persons picking three of the six numbers drawn will also be in for prize money.
"The new Mega 6 brings bigger and better things for our avid supporters,"stated Sheryl Jolly, sales and marketing manager of GTECH, the operators of The Barbados Lottery.
She said that the changes would make the Mega 6 a better jackpot game, growing to higher amounts than previously seen and more attractive to high rollers.
These changes are in keeping with the promise of the lottery to bring positive changes to the players of its various games.
"New Mega 6 now starts at $375 000 and includes a fourth prize wherein players can win by matching 3 numbers. This was not present in the old game and our players used to complain about it.
"We always want to take our players' viewpoint into consideration and this is just another one of our many ventures to do that," said Jolly.
"Additionally, players will now have to choose 6 numbers from 33 balls and new bet slips will have to be used to accommodate this," she added.
Tony Grant, general manager of GTech, revealed that the Mega 6 game had paid out over $11 million in prizes since the consolidation of The Barbados Lottery in April 2005 with an additional $2 million going towards the areas of sport, youth and culture. (PR)
