Hospital extends hand to family
Published on: 12/17/07.
THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL (QEH) has promised to do all in its power to help counsel relatives of the late Donna Brathwaite.
A statement issued yesterday by chief executive officer Winston Collymore, said the QEH board, management and staff shared the grief and pain of Brathwaite's relatives and stood "committed to doing all in their power to facilitate the counselling of the traumatised relatives".
In expressing regret at the incident, the statement said that at about 1:30 a.m. last Thursday it was brought to Collymore's attention that someone had entered the hospital's morgue, and police were called in to investigate.
The statement also confirmed that the man charged in connection with the incident was an employee of the QEH. (RJ)
