THE ULLYETT MOTORSPORT TEAM will be a force to be reckoned with at the International Race Meet at Bushy Park. The event is scheduled for Sunday, with preliminary rounds on Saturday.

The team, led by Geoffrey Ullyett, has taken a commanding lead in the Barbados Auto Racing League's 2006 Championship, and a top spot in Group 2A. Thus far, Ullyett has won six races.

Fellow driver Jesse Mark has also earned his way to the top of a keenly contested Group 1B, leading by 12 points, ahead of 1B driver William Jones.

Ullyett credits his success to his preparation by team mechanics in Group 1B.

"I wanted to demonstrate that car preparation and car control are far more important than horsepower. At the beginning of the year, the guys really worked hard to get the cars ready. Now we really have the opportunity to win big," he said. (KB)
