Brathwaite and Nelson in spotlight

ROSEAU, Dominica Prolific Barbadian batsman Kraigg Brathwaite and Jamaican leg-spinner Donovan Nelson dominated the 2008 CLICO West Indies Under-15 cricket tournament awards ceremony Sunday night.
The duo picked up eight awards between them as the curtain came down on the tournament, which was won by the Jamaicans for the fourth time.
Brathwaite, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at last year's tournament, was again named tournament MVP.
In addition to being named MVP, he picked up awards for scoring the most runs and for amassing the best batting average.
He accumulated a total of 334 runs at an average of 66.8 with a top score of 109 against the Leeward Islands.
Brathwaite was also named the Barbados MVP. He also received the CLICO scholarship of US$1 500.
Nelson, the victorious Jamaican captain, captured awards for capturing the most wickets, having the best bowling average, and he also won the best fielder award. (CMC)
